We had a very good show at Zula’s Coffee House in downtown Waxahachie last Friday night. We started about 7:30 and played until about 9. There was a good turnout and the crowd was very energetic, which really energized us! Corey’s new material was very well received and we are looking forward to the completion of the CD.

CD Project – My Saviour’s Love

Hey Everyone!

I am working on a new CD project. So I’m venturing into unknown territory and asking each of you to consider going with me. I’m a guitar player and play everything from Country to Classical but my favorite is a fusion of Jazz, Rock, and Classical. I am a Christian and the songs I write deal with the Christian life. I have played in several church praise bands and have led Worship off and on for several years. My goal in this project is to bring something that encourages, and challenges both Christians and Non-Christians. I will include a booklet which discusses the thoughts and scripture behind each of the songs. During the initial recording phase of this project I have felt lead of the Lord to offer this music for free. Call it open-source music. I pray that the messages in this music will encourage, challenge and renew the Spirit of Faith in Christians (Eph. 5:19) and cause non-Christians to question and contemplate the truth presented here. (John 12:32) I am recording it on my own without the aid of a record company, but with the help of some brilliant musicians and artists who believe in this project. I would like for this to be YOUR project too. The CD will contain 11 titles that are listed below with their Scripture reference.

Making a CD is pretty expensive even when you’re doing it on the cheap. I’m an independent artist which allows me total creative freedom and control but, leaves me without the funds to bring this project to life. I need to raise $3750.00 to make this vision a reality. I am asking each of you to pray and ask the Lord if He wants you to be a part of this financially. However, if you do not feel led to partner that way, I would ask that you pray for me and my family, and those working with me, that the Lord would reign in our lives and that He would use us to His Glory! I have posted rough mixes of some of the songs to give you an idea of what they sound like and possibly help in your decision process. I will continue to add rough mixes as they come available. I ran this amp for practice last night and was very pleased. The amp held up very well with bass, guitar, and vox. We pushed the amp good and it proved itself a trooper. The sound was crisp and clear and the response was great. From the bottom end all the way up, this amp never broke a sweat and I am very pleased with this purchase. I will get another one as soon as the money allows. I also recommend this amp for anyone looking for a good strong amp for little money!

Hi All, I was using a Tapco Juice J1400 and it went south on me. If I kept the volume down the amp worked ok, but my acoustic was louder than the amp. Whenever I pushed it a bit, it would clip out on me. When I bought it, I also bought a SquareTrade Warranty for the amp. These guys are incredible. I had 2 months left on the warranty so I logged into their web site and created a claim for my amp. By mid-morning the next day they had responded and answered my claim by refunding all of the covered amount for the amp!! WOO HOO! So I took my cash and went to Guitar Center a bought one of those new Peavey IPR 1600 Power amps. Another amazing piece of technology from Peavey. I will run it through the paces tonight at band practice and will let you know how it goes. I will also be buying another SquareTrade Warranty for this puppy!!

It has been almost forever since I updated this site. I have been very busy. I have a new job and I have joined 2 bands. The first band is ‘The Mark Gorman Band’. Mark has his own brand of Texas County that is great to listen to and is enjoyable even if you don’t like Country. My first show with the band is Sept. 18th at the Texas Music Theater in Waxahachie. Get a group of friends together and come enjoy and evening of great fun. Check Mark out here ‘www.markgormanband.com‘. I look forward to seeing many of you at the show.

The other band is called ‘Broken Soulz’ and is a contemporary Christian Band. This band is lead by Corey Thedford who is currently working on a CD with help from Shane Barnard of Shane & Shane. The band is currently being considered as one of the acts for a youth centered tour to start in August. Gotta learn a bunch of new music!!!
